Better Go Mad In The Wild (15)

2025 Czech Republic, Slovakia

Directed by Miro Remo

Identically bald and grizzly-bearded, though distinguishable from each other chiefly by a differing number of limbs, the eccentric sixty-something-year-old brothers Ondřej and František Klišík have lived their entire joint life on the same smallholding in the darkly verdant heart of the Šumava Forest along near the Czech-German border.

Filmed over 5 years, we watch them going about their daily business on the farm, squabbling, arm-wrestling, musing on life and doing their own thing – František has spent the last 20 years trying to build a perpetual flying machine…

A beautifully shot portrait of rowdy love and mutual dependency. “A brilliant film” The Guardian Winner of Best Film at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival
